With the exception of Far-East-Asians, white people have the highest education levels, best jobs, live in the most peaceful, cleanest and prettiest neighborhoods. I can go on forever, and under DoDo Myer's logics we'd easily say whites are superior and the real question is whether hispanics and blacks are real humans or macacos. The missing link between monkeys and humans has always been here!!!
The facts above seem overwhelming and millions of people secretly do follow them at one or another level, like many of the 40 millions who voted for McCain after 8 years of misery. Many other millions are already believing in the women's superiority by the same sloppiness, secretness and convenience. However, such reasons end up being pure mud for the base of a skyscraper. The real conclusion is that with so much support as a white person you really have to work hard to stay out of the middle class, being a retard or very very unlucky. Let's see the book now.
The author washes her hands like Pontius Pilates by stating that "this book is not an attack on men. It's not mean to demean..bla,bla, my father was a man. I'm married to a man"..bla,bla, but after hammering over and over all the good things that women do better than men and all the bad things men do better than women we can only see plain evidence of hidden hatred. Dodo Myers and interviewees don't show any hesitance to claim "women are more practical, do better science and business, better government, better, better, better", (as well as bragging) while men are better at murdering, stealing, threatening, etc. And somehow Dodo says that it's men who usually split the world between all good and all evil, black and white. This hypocrite truth-quest-pretentiousness was consistent all over the book.
Her master piece is a sexist joke of the three wise men, that another good reviewer denounced well. Dodo called the wise men's gifts impractical. Calling gold an impractical gift? Well, for all you Dodo yourself and your followers, you can send me your gold for this X-mas season; it's OK to be late for a man, you'll definitively say. Summer is still good. You can also send silver, diamonds, stock options, etc. Get creative. Creativity is seldom practical but Dodo will reassure you that's also OK for a man.
The single one good thing I can say on the book is that Dodo acknowledged somewhere that she "has a bit (sic!) of a bias" for studies that favor women. Well, academia is not the best source for this debate 'cause it has earned a big reputation for being liberal biased. The sociology departments are some of the most radical ones, feminism promoters. Their studies remind me the medical (a supposedly more strict and scientifically discipline) ones from the late XIX and early XX century warning people against the several evils of sex. Sociologists and economists cannot even agree in daily big issues, like whether or not illegal and legal immigrants are good, bad or so so for the USA. I'm an hispanic immigrant and I won't twist anything to tell what we are to the USA, I don't know (I thought I did), nobody does. Many women down there in Latin America already rule their marriages, with iron fist often.
Regarding men being worse than women in forms of crime, I have read other studies claiming that men only beat women in crime when it comes to physical crime, otherwise women are equally capable of stealing, doing fraud, even murdering. Nobody knows the truth. Dodo claims her source is the FBI, so what? Governments is such a great twister of facts and Dodo is great at it as well, thus you get double distortions or more. Besides, a big amount of female violence is far easier to hide than males's since it comes from moms to their children and husbands who'll never call the police. But it's great that in these repressed-male times there are TV shows like "Snapped" that show how cold-blooded women can get.
In the same line with racists and discrimination movements, Dodo uses and degrades the evolution theory to sloppily justify her arguments to the point to subtlety state that men are more violent because of their nature, not because the ways they are raised, therefore inferior than women and never the faults of their moms. And it's funny her using evolution theory when she goes to church. And talking about moms again, Dodo put them on way undeserved pedestal, no wonder she tried to take all responsibility away from them.
Becoming a mother makes you something close to superman in Dodo's view, one that she says over and over is very special. She might've become more patient when she became a mom, but only to her babies. She even tried to state some sort of sixth-sense sense, that men obviously don't have, that still failed when she guessed the sex of her coming daughter. Men also have intuition and I've seen that it is as accurate as women's. It's only propaganda that we don't have it. Moreover, virtually everybody agrees that children are very spoiled today and society as whole is quite rude, a society raised by the same mothers Dodo praises (and and she herself in them) on and on. It's in motherhood when women shows how violent a women can be when she has a chance and with the nasty feminism from our time it gets incredible sometimes; a mom in Austin (liberal city) or nearby in TX recently castrated and mutilated her sons' penis!
The so-called female empathy that Dodo and many more claim nowadays is very often nothing more than sugarine and mushy pretentiousness and manipulation, like crying sometimes is as well as attention call as Dodo says in her usual drama-show.
Whenever Dodo finds a good quality on men she immediately twists it into something negative. And if women ever so it (like Hillary Clinton being aggressive), that's OK, pure double standards. Hey Dodo, being intimidating is bad from both a women and a man! Being able to focus turns you into a brain-dead-tunnel-visionned robot who won't realize when your house is on fire while you figure your electrojunk out. (at the same time some women claim that being able to focus is actually women's virtue). Being quick and sound to make decisions turns you into a shallow one who sees the world in black and white. I myself have been labeled like that in an women-led company (an average one therefore), curious because the female CEO was equally "black and white" minded when it came to money and paying me peanuts. I guess some women want to deposes us from one of our best skills, being secure of ourselves and able to make decisions. In that same company I witnessed how much of bullies women can get when they are majority. I have also been sexually discriminated when applying to jobs at least twice; forget about suing them, that's only for rich people, and being a man I'd need to be extra-rich. Women can be more sexist than men.
In the same way that Dodo used a theory that her religion opposes, she also makes alliance with people opposed to the party that started helping women. For example, she mentions very often the staunch death-penalty supporter Senator Kay B. Hutchinson from Texas. It's all about power and convenience. There are lots of only-for-women services. That's why women can agree more easily than men, but if they ruled the world women wouldn't agree any better than men do today. Right today women don't agree on several issues like abortion and gay marriage at all, and Dodo won't mention it.
And talking about how men have ruled the world, (Dodo as usual telling what a bad job we, men, do) let's get some fun and read another book, a feminist one for your sake! Superfreakonomics, where the authors show how better is our world than ever before, right when starting chapter 4. Only a shallow mind who only gets information from TV can tell that our world is the worst of all times. If anybody really though that, they should move to the Amazon jungle. Why nobody does it? Eh?
The original feminist movement was about equality and women have already taken over low and mid-level managerial positions. When men are still most of CEO-s in big companies, Dodo says "Come on, people!" Come on You, Dodo! I'll repeat another reviewer, Michael from Germany: "women have a right to half the world's leadership positions, but only on the day when half the world's most dangerous, dirtiest and unhealthiest jobs, still done nearly 100% by men, are shared 50% by women, and half of those killed every year at work are women." (PS:low-end prostitutes are only a handful, women usually don't work on it) I'll add that in these recession times men have fared the worst by far and large.
Men are the new black people and you can criticize me for resenting it. Yes I do with all reason, and will just volunteer to help my gender, like sending books to inmates.
I am sad that liberals who want true equality like me don't have any option other than the strongly pro-feminist Democrat party while the only ones who oppose the feminist are radical, nasty and maybe irrelevant right-wingers like Michelle Malkin and Rush Limbaugh. My only hope that women don't take over the world is that many of you are also copying men's bad behaviors as well at incredible rates, like drunkenness, reckless promiscuity, laziness, jerkiness (with the curious mixture of hyper-sensitivity), farting, bad breath and bad outfit style. Hey Dodo! It's not grandma's times and women don't defer to anybody anymore, least of all to their husbands.
Finally, Child Abuse Report!!! (I wish I could report husband abuse too, but the current female-bias laws won't let it). Dodo has a son and not even him will get away from her hatred. I skipped the 1st and last parts of the book, mostly just skimmed over those parts, but on section 3 "Biology, Ideology and Difference". She started by talking about her children by telling how nurturing and female her daughter is with her stuffed animals and dolls, while her son is "far too busy trying to slay it (the animal)". Next his son asks "if there's no intruder, who am I going to shoot?" The girls showed their righteousness and how better they were, etc. I didn't have the guts to continue reading, I'm very sensitive about child abuse, even when Dodo says I can't be for being a man. Authorities out there, this child is going to grow with sever issues!! He may even castrate and self-mutilate later on in life. I am not exaggerating. At least a child has already gone through that as mentioned before. His dad chose on his own to marry and be dominated by that woman, but he did not and has a right to a good life in another house. How bad can Dodo be when she praised her mom's search for power at the expense of neglecting her family and feeding them with junk?
The Ugly Face of Feminazism : Obergruppenführer Myers reports from the Gender Front on the Reasons behind her Utopian Quest for World Supremacy
(Through a slip of the keyboard I accidentally gave this book 5 stars, when in fact it does not even deserve a single one. As Amazon does not allow one to change one's ratings, I've had to do it another way)
So often we've heard these claims before, `why Germans should rule the world', `why Communists should rule the world', `why Islam should rule the world', etc, etc, and always the root of these beliefs is a rotten, smelly combination of ignorance, bigotry, chauvinism and arrogance. No exception here - and the irony is that Myers displays precisely those characteristics which have lead to wars in the past; her breathtaking prejudice and bigotry make all sensible people extremely grateful that SHE'S not ruling the world.
It would be amazing if all those killed in the wars of Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, all those sadistically beaten by Catherine the Great of Russia, all those executed by Queen Elizabeth (including her own family), all those tortured and murdered by Countess Elizabeth Bathory, slaughtered by Queen Boadicea, all the millions of colonials enslaved under Queen Victoria, etc, etc, etc could be asked to give an opinion on this garbage. Typically, most of the people killed by Meir, Thatcher and Gandhi's actions were men, as are those Germany's Angela Merkel is so keen to commit to Iraq, reversing Gerhard Schröder's policy of anti-militarism. The question thus should not be `Why should women rule the world', but `why it's about time women started helping with the daily drudgery that keeps the world going round'. Just like Adolf, DoDo Myers seems to think women are suited only for the top positions of society, while 1.5 million construction workers, coal miners, industrial workers, etc, who die every year should remain men. Garbage : women have a right to half the world's leadership positions, but only on the day when half the world's most dangerous, dirtiest and unhealthiest jobs, still done nearly 100% by men, are shared 50% by women, and half of those killed every year at work are women.
"If the three wise men had been women, they would have asked directions, arrived on time, helped deliver the baby, cleaned the stable, made a casserole, brought practical gifts, and there would be Peace on Earth."
These are the kind of jokes whites in Apartheid South Africa used to make about Africans, what the Ku Klux Klan makes about African-Americans, what some white Americans make about the Polish, what the English make about the Irish, and what 1930's Germans made about Jews. They're easy to pick apart, but Myers' gender fascist version is even easier. The `3 wise women' would never have arrived. Firstly, because the celebrated women's empathy is extended by the vast majority to their families alone. Women don't show empathy to strangers, and certainly not to strange men. The 3 women would have stayed at home with their families, and left the risky job of travel to 3 men. How would the 3 women have travelled? Built chariots and wagons with their bare hands, and captured and tamed the horses and livestock? Would they have navigated with the aid of stars, which MEN had already mapped out millenia ago, but which leave every women I've ever met totally confused? Would they have delivered the baby alive, with traditional midwifery that killed so many until MEN forced their way into childbirth and caused a revolution that has doubled the world's population? Would they have been more punctual than men, who have invented countless forms of clockwork and exact timekeeping that would still boggle the minds of women if all their brains could be linked in parallel? Would they have cleaned the stable if today they still are happy to leave the world's dirtiest, unheathiest jobs to MEN? Would they have made a good casserole without a good male-invented oven and cooking utensils and crockery, with all the metal mining and glass production involved? Would there have been peace on Earth when we look at the disastrous results mentioned above of women's limited forays into political leadership? But OK, I conceed they would have brought practical gifts only, as NO woman parts with her money and perfume, especially not to a stranger and especially not to a male.
Myers' views deserve as much respect as he who previously suggested that Germans should rule the world. She is a disgrace to the democratic country which allows her KKKish prejudice - from white supremacy to female supremacy. And in the name of all victims of racial and sexual prejudice the world over, we who believe in true equality spit on her and all who support her. Its current second-hand price of 1 cent, although still over-priced, is an accurate, free-market reflection of its quality, and time will no doubt see her bilge consigned to the literary garbage bin where it belongs. However, while it remains cheaper than toilet paper, this book may still serve a function.
(PS - just to clear up any confusion, a vote FOR my review is a vote AGAINST this drivel)
Dee Dee Myers gives some very interesting behind-the-scenes insights into the Clinton White House. She was the first female White House Press Secretary, but as she explains in this book, she fell into the typical trap for women trying to break the glass ceiling - she was given all of the work and responsibility, but little of the credit or pay that would go to a man in the same position.
It is a fact that women, whether by nature or nurture, think and see situations differently than men do. In this book Myers urges women to embrace their differences and argues that the different perspective will enhance society, as illustrated by quoting many studies and anecdotes from women in positions of power.
Some may view this book as man-bashing, but I do not. My only problem with the book was the endless repetition - Myers stated the same things over and over again, and it was very hard to find the energy to finish the last few chapters. However, if I had not, I would not have found out what she *really* thought about Hillary Clinton.
I'll be honest, around page 190 I stopped reading. Not because the book was terrible, but because it seemed to repeat the same stories over and over (just in different situations); women empowerment.
I'm all for equality between the sexes, but when I picked up this book I thought the reader would get a woman's perspective on curing some of the ills of the world. Instead, Mrs. Myers' audience gets that standard female pep talk you hear all over the place these days - "Woman can do anything a man can do; often differently and sometimes better."
It's not the worst read I've ever expierenced, but I know I won't be going out of my way to read any future contributions she makes to literature so take that for what it's worth.
This particular book was chose as a "requested" Christmas gift. After inquiry about timely arrival and satisfation; the receipient responded that she "devoured" the book because it was "so good!"
