A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy
Second Edition
Edited by Elmer M. Cranton, M.D.
Foreward by Linus Pauling, Ph.D.
EDTA chelation therapy removes from the human body, with relative saftey and without surgery, metallic ions that play an important role in the formation of atherosclerotic plaque. Dr.Elmer Cranton's compilation of the most current and pertinent information on EDTA chelation therapy is now back in print, with even more information about chelation's effects, protocols, and status based on the latest research. Find out why more than a thousand physicians in the United States already offer EDTA chelation therapy as a safer and far less expensive alternative to surgical treatments for atherosclerosis.
- From the author of "Bypassing Bypass: The New Technique of Chelation Therapy"
- The most current and pertinent information on EDTA chelation therapy - now expanded and updated
- Extensive evidence on the efficacy of chelation therapy in prevention and treatment of age-associated diseases, heart and arterial disease, high blood pressure, brain disorders, cancer, renal dysfunction, and more
- Illustrates how chelation therapy may improve circulation and overall health, possibly even extending life
- Supports chelation as an alternative to invasive, risky and expensive procedures such as bypass surgery and balloon angioplasty

This is the ACAM textbook for EDTA Chelation Therapy. I am currently undergoing chelation therapy 4 times a week for detox purposes. I am feeling better even after just 3 weeks...and I've been sick for the past 3 years. Make your own judgement as to whether chelation is for real...just realize that the establishment-owned drug companies would be making far fewer dollars if more people knew about this...
Mr. Abrattes review lacks a little common sense. He says if EDTA worked then the medical community would be using it. However the medical industry is highly influenced by the high profit drug companies which would not want alternative therapies to exist because these therapies would cut deeply into their profits. There is a growing number of physicians which are adapting to edta therapy. EDTA is FDA approved for removal of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, nickel and cadmium. There are a lot of things that the pharmaceutical companies do not do research on because of the lack of profiteering.
Maybe if C.M. Abratte read the book: Politics in Healing by Daniel Haley (Former NY State Assemblyman), commented by Berkley Bedell (Former Congressman), and read the Fitzgerald Report by Benedict Fitzgerald of the US Dept. of Justice to the Senate Interstate Commerce Committee 1953, he/she would understand why the so-called scientific studies can't be trusted. It is very eye-opening and enraging reading, which IS BACKED UP BY COURT (of law) DOCUMENTS!!
Then and only then will it lead people to understand how we can have non-toxic therapies that are not "main-stream" and widely used in the medical profession!! Such a shame and criminal.
This book is complete nonsense and quackery. Supporters of chelation therapy claim that "numerous" scientific studies have been conducted "proving" the efficacy of EDTA therapy. Anybody with half a brain and the research skills of a 5th grader can tell you that these studies don't exist. What does exist is a mountain of anecdotal evidence that is thrown in our face to distract us from the paucity of hard evidence from clinically controlled randomized studies.
This therapy does not work. If it did work, the mainstream medical community would be using it. If you want to live longer, put down the fork and go for a jog.
Of the several books and articles I have read about chelation therapy, this one is the best. It is perhaps not for the 101 lesson, as it is a bit more technical, so much so that medical doctors can read it with interest. It has many references to studies and background facts. Its a Bible on Chelation.
I have personally known Dr.Evers who is mentioned quite often in the book. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us.
